Orange County Coastkeeper believes all people have the inalienable right to clean water and they are committed to creating a community that has access to fishable, swimmable, drinkable water for present and future generations.  They organize Orange County's participation in one of the largest cleanups of the year and support school field trips to learn about their local watershed.

Orange County Parks manages different parks, beaches, and historic sites including the Peter and Mary Muth Interpretive Center.  The center offers many opportunities to connect with Upper Newport Bay Nature Preserve and is also available for drop-in visits.

Project Grow offers environmental education through the lens of habitat restoration.  Their program, ROOTS, provides participants the opportunity to learn about local natural communities and the issues that arise from human activities impacting the habitats that lie therein.

Sea and Sage Audubon Society is a chapter of the National Audubon Society and their mission is to protect birds, other wildlife, and their habitats through education, citizen science, research, and public policy advocacy.  They conduct bird surveys in Upper Newport Bay which helps to inform the conservation status of different bird species.
